airBanana anniversary flight POSTPONED!
by Migs & Walther, published: 10/2/2011
SAN FIERRO - The biggest event in a few months had been postponed. Yes, you heard it right, the date of airBanana anniversary flight has been moved to this weekend. When asked about the classified location of the event, [SAP]John responded with: "Secret."
Also, according to different reliable sources, the planned anniversary flight has been replaced with the airline's and the server's first Beagle passenger mainland-to-mainland flight, which was followed by a conventional longer haul Shamal flight. There were a few problems, like too many people being checked-in for the flight (problem resolved by timeout of a couple of players), or the plane being parked on the wrong side of FCAP terminal. Yet, it provided airBanana with a chance to avoid making such mistakes during the actual event. Finally, another 'spicy' detail was noticed. Those who use Shamal Colours Mod will see one of airBanana jets painted SF blue. Strange, isn't it?

SAP Interview information
by Migs, published: 10/13/2011
SAN FIERRO - According to [SAP]Sgt, spokesman for SAP, all interviews for SAP membership has been transferred from the SAP Commander, position abolished last August, to the spokesman. This was done after the SAP Council approved this recommendation.
"Dear Pilots, Applicants and especially Cadets,
As stated within the SAP "constitution" you have to take an interview after passing all (basic-)tests in order to become SAP Member.
Traditionally this interview was done with the Commander, however owing to the Higher Command structure changes and the creation of the SAP Council, there is no Commander anymore.
Therefore the SAP Council got to the conclusion that Cadets do now have to take their interview with the current Spokesman and another Council Member."

SAPRC headquarters' interior photos leaked!
by Walther, published: 10/16/2011
SAN FIERRO - San Andreas Pilots' Racing Club appears to be unaffected by the double-dip recession. While the pilots of certain airlines receive food stamps, as struggling airlines compete for the last few passengers who can afford the pleasures of air travel, the San Andreas State Treasury spends another 10 million dollars on posh headquarters for the popular racing club. A forthcoming whistleblower risked his career in order to show us the photos taken at the new building. So far, we are only able to see an office and a hallway, but even those photos exhibit such luxuries as leather seats, redwood desks and brand new Mac Pro computers. Also, the contributor, who did not wish to reveal his identity, mentioned that the headquarters will include a garage and a meeting room. If the racing drivers' club attracts such government stimulus, why should we stare at plain clouds out of our cockpits instead of speeding down the Las Venturas Strip?

Update: SAPRC HQ photo leak
by Migs, published: 10/18/2011
LAS VENTURAS - On 10/16/2011, SANA, with the help of an anonymous source from SAPRC, leaked two photos of the SAPRC HQ located in Las Venturas.
With regards to this, [SAP]Evel, CEO of SAPRC, has released a statement. (read full original statement here).
According to [SAP]Evel, SAPRC will not be pressing for the removal of the photos. He would also want to make several comments on statements published by SANA:
No disciplinary action will be taken against [SAP]Walther, the publisher of the leak, since SAPRC did not request the removal of the photos, and the report did not violate the SANA rules.

- The San Andreas State Treasury did not grant SAPRC a 10 million-dollar subsidy, but a smaller amount was given for the construction, which will not be disclosed until the construction of HQ is completed.
- The HQ is still under construction, which makes the photos an inaccurate representation of how the HQ will look once it is finished.

Aircraft towing reintroduced
by Walther, published: 10/27/2011
SAN FIERRO - a feature long forgotten has returned to all major SAP mainland airports: Tugs can tow aircraft (by getting really close to the nose of aircraft and pressing the Alt key). So far, your reporter has managed to tow Dodos, Stuntplanes, Beagles, and even the mighty AT-400. However, towing large planes is a difficult affair, as a well accelerated plane can turn into a Juggernaut, sweeping everything off the tarmac, so please obey the speed limit.
The really bad news is that the plane must be empty, which means that major airlines can only use Tugs to retrieve their AT-400s and Beagles out of storage or to put them back in - no pushbacks for jumbojets laden with passengers. So far, the feature is only being tested, and might get removed again, or, hopefully, improved.

Hey, navigator dude, you are fired!
by Walther, published: 10/27/2011
SAN FIERRO - what many old school navigators feared and many pilots craved for has happened. No longer you need to keep those printouts of airport codes and runway angles, they are all a few keystrokes away - just type in /airports and a list of all official and most unofficial airfields will be open to you. Pick your destination, and you will be presented with runway headings and numbers for your convenience.

Gliding works?
by Walther, published: 10/27/2011
SAN FIERRO - it seems that the planes that run out of fuel no longer drop to the ground like birds struck by lighting.
Instead, they gracefully soar like Thanksgiving Day turkeys towards your neighbours' refurbished rooftop, or runways-turned-dragstrips, as shown in the picture to the left. The system is still quite confusing, but hey, you can eventually make it to the airfield!

Matty assasinated during the 3rd attempt!
by Nodroz, published: 10/28/2011
LAS VENTURAS - A well known player called Matty was assasinated yesterday. This was already the 3rd attempt to end his life. Just a few days earlier, [SAP]Gz0r tried to assasinate him by the means of Improvised Explosive Device, but Matty was fast enough to run away and survive. After spending 2 days in hospital, he was on his way home when this terrible action happened again.
[SAP]Mixcraft, a SAP Council member, tried attracting Matty while dressed in creepy clothes, with the intention to kill him afterwards. [SAP]Hinter as a good and civilized player tried to help Matty, but failed, sacrificing her life to no avail. You can find more information here.
A few days earlier, while Matty was recovering from injuries inflicted by [SAP]Gz0r, we asked him what he thinks about it. Here is an interview with Matty:
Nodroz: "Matty, what's going on in your mind if you think about they tried to kill you 2 times?"
Matty: "They want me dead."
Nodroz: "Why do you think they want you dead?"
Matty: "I don't know."
Nodroz: "What are you going to do now?"
Matty: "I don't know, maybe trying to defend myself."
Nodroz: "Do you think they will try to kill you again?"
Matty: "Yes."
Unfortunately, Matty was right, his life was brutally taken away as soon as he left the hospotal. The reactions from SAP Council were quite neutral, though, with the interviewees trying to distance themselves from the event:
[SAP]DPhelps: "Stunned. I'm not sure how to react to this case."
[SAP]Sgt: "As long as Matty has nothing against that it's ok... if he follows people that don't want him to follow him, they may deal with him using admin commands (e.g. jail). If he complains about the killings, he'll have to deal with the punishments."
[SAP]Barry: "I don't know, I try not to. I don't involve myself with what goes on in the server when I'm not there unless someone files a report in Violations."
The Las Venturas Police Department has already started searching for the assassins. If you have any additional information, let them know as soon as possible!

Password for the Endurance Race testing server leaked!
by Nodroz, published: 10/31/2011
This news report is based on information from the San Andreas Pilots' Racing Club forum and personal contact with the leadership. According to [SAP]Evel's notice on the SAP forums it has been confirmed that the password which is needed to join the SAPRC server with endurance race information has been leaked out. A member from certain participating team leaked the password to other teams. They joined the server and were able to see content which was not meant to be seen yet. SAPRC leadership is not happy with this leak and will therefore punish the responsible team hard enough to show that they can't get away with causing such situations as it is already the second time this problem occurs. The responsible team will be starting on the last starting grid position in the race and they may be exluded from the first round of a closed beta test.
The other participating teams have been warned not to join the server. If they can't resist doing so, they'll be punished. According to [SAP]Torran, SAPRC COO, the team who joins the server without permission will be added to the Rick Roll list. This means that they'll be locked in an endless loop of rick roll lyrics until they figure out how to get out. Anyway, this suggestion is only temporary until [SAP]Evel gets informed.
Due to the recent leaks in the SAPRC community (click here to learn about the leaked interior photos), the security level has been increased. At the moment, 4 guards are spying on all the people within the SAPRC community in order to identify the source of the leak.
Stay tuned for further updates.

SAPRC password leak - the source is found!
by Nodroz, published: 10/31/2011
The security guards who were trying to identify the source of SAPRC Endurance Race server password leak have done their work perfectly. As they were spying on Hexter, they saw in one of the chatlogs of his MSN instant messaging program that he was spreading the password to certain people. However, we still don't know if he did this by intention, or by accident.
We thought it was time to talk with Hexter - the person responsible for the leak:
Nodroz: 'Hello Hexter. People are wondering why you leaked the password of the server?'
Hexter: 'Well, first off, [SAP]Torran NEVER told me not to tell people about the password. And the only people I told was Sgt.Mays and Starfox, fellow racers.'
Looks like Hexter is trying to blame [SAP]Torran. Let's see what he has to say about this.
[SAP]Torran: 'A password is there for a reason: not to be distributed to everybody.'
And finally [SAP]Evel, CEO of SAPRC, voiced his opinion on this issue.
[SAP]Evel: 'Hexter should know darn well that the password is there for a reason.'
SAPRC Leadership Council will have a serious talk with Hexter about this issue. They want to state that situations like this this must not happen again in future.
