Record for most people on a helicopter achieved
by Walther, published: 2/3/2012
SAN FIERRO - On 1st March 2012, a whole new record was achieved at Easter Bay Airport. 9 people were riding on the tail of Fire Department's Raindance helicopter without causing any harm to themselves. No one was riding inside the cabin, as it was determined that such passengers 'would not count'. The people who did the stunt are: [SAP]Andy, CraHeX, [SAP]Destroyed, [SAP]DPhelps, Egert, eXpOseD, Hunter, [SAP]Mixcraft, and TNT.

Hackers create disorder in Los Santos
by Egert, published: 3/3/2012
LOS SANTOS - On Saturday afternoon, Schwarz discovered that all the AT-400s had disappeared. After carrying out a search together with Egert, they saw one of the planes on the roof of Los Santos International Airport terminal, but after a closer look it became obvious there were all 3 AT-400s stacked together. Such a phenomenon can only be achieved by hacking. A similar incident occurred a day before at Area 69, where [SAP]Torran & Egert found all Hunters spawned in a similar way.
Later that Saturday, Egert started a rescue operation, where he first pushed the planes away from each other. Then two more rescuers, Schwarz and CraHeX, came to help. They all worked together in order to be able to board the airplanes, and respawn them the brutal way. After 6 long hours, they managed to respawn all planes. All rescuers received a cookie for their effort from [SAP]Torran.

SARX - San Andreas RallyCross founded!
by Nodroz, published: 9/3/2012
A brand new organisation has been founded by [SAP]Gz0r and [SAP]Walther, called San Andreas RallyCross, also known as SARX. They will be introducing a new racing method, called Rally. Rally is racing done mostly on unpaved roads / in offroad conditions, with each driver having to drive the distance against the clock. Rally is pretty dangerous as these roads are not suitable for high-speed driving and have no safety measures. SARX have designed a simple points and tiers system for their members. The more Rally Points a member has, the more powerful vehicle classes one can participate in!
For more information about this points system, please go to their forum post at the SAP forum.
Also, this is not the first "racing organisation" in SAP, it's actually the third after San Andreas Racing Club (SAPRC) and San Andreas Pilots Events commite (SAPEC) which have organised race events before. The question is who will have the leading spot in this racing world. We've personally asked [SAP]Walther and [SAP]Gz0r to know why they have created a new organisation, before contacting SAPRC about the idea.
[SAP]Nodroz: "Hello both. I'm Nodroz from SANA and I would like to ask you both a few questions about your new organisation, SARX."
[SAP]Gz0r: "Sure, go ahead."
[SAP]Nodroz: "How did you came to the idea of starting this organisation?"
[SAP]Gz0r: "We first came to the idea when we were just driving around in Sultans, just doing the usualy offroading. As we were driving in desert with Sultans, we reached Aldea Malvada, and there the idea popped in our heads. Alright... the first idea came there... but in desert I totally said Lets do it!"
[SAP]Walther: "Exactly."
[SAP]Gz0r: "The cannibal circle is the story of its own already."
[SAP]Nodroz: "Well, I would like to know why you created a new organisation, especially for Rally races, whilst you could have suggested that for SAPRC?"
[SAP]Gz0r: "Well, As you may have noticed, SAPRC is mostly doing track races. All of them are usually on the asphalt. We decided to bring something different to SAP. We didn't suggest it because SAPRC is already busy with their plannings, The big Enduro race as we all know."
[SAP]Nodroz: "Alright, thanks. What are you going to do when SAPEC/SAPRC do a RallyCross race too?"
[SAP]Walther: "I doubt if SAPRC will do them. They have said that we are not their competitors. We might have a partnership with them, sharing race marshals, possibly. As for SAPEC, they do not have the same Rally Points and Tiers system as we do. We are more than happy to have them help organising our races though."
[SAP]Nodroz: "I guess that was about all we would like to know. Thanks for you cooperation and good luck with your organisation!"
As you can see they don't have any problems with both SAPRC and SAPEC. We hope this will result in a big partnership so all organisations can be happy.

[SAP]Jordyboy resigns from SAP Council
by Walther, published 11/3/2012
SAN ANDREAS PILOTS' ISLAND - On Saturday, 10th of March, SAP spokesman [SAP]Sgt posted an announcement that [SAP]Jordyboy, having led the Civil Department since December 2009, had to resign due to time constraints caused by college studies and other issues. As a result, [SAP]Andy, the Secondary Civil Instructor, took over the leadership of Civil Department, with [SAP]Barry taking his place. As a result of these changes, the post of Director of Flight School was abolished.
These developments are not considered surprising among the members of the community, as [SAP]Jordyboy remained inactive during the last six months and had already transferred the responsibility for carrying out day-to-day operations of his airline, JMX Travel SA, to a group of employees, taking a background supervisory/consulting role.

JMX announce changes in leadership and recruitment
by Walther, published: 14/3/2012
SAN FIERRO - JMX Travel SA, the oldest airline at SAP have released a statement that a few changes have occurred over the past few months but have never been made public.
The current President and Vice President ([SAP]Jordyboy and Ycto, respectively), have withdrawn from active participation in airline's affairs, taking a supervisory/consultive role by becoming the permanent members of newly-established Supervisory Board. The management of the airline will be taken care of by Executive Board, consisting of no less than two Executive Directors, currently [SAP]Gz0r and [SAP]Walther. These people will handle scheduling of flights, recruitment, crew training and testing. They must regularly report to the Supervisory Board, who have appointed them.
On a bright note for those seeking a place in an airline, JMX have announced changes in recruitment, which means that those willing to join the airline need a score of only 1000 flying minutes, no matter which position they want to work in (the previous requirement for pilots was 3000 flying minutes).
However, language requirements are still in place, which may reduce the impact of these changes. Also, it should be noted that their partners BoNo Airlines have recently lowered the requirements as well, which now range from mere 0 points for a Bus Driver position to 1200 points for a Captain position.

SAP server becomes more popular again!
by Nodroz, published: 18/3/2012
San Andreas Pilots server has become more active lately. There have been more tests scheduled this month than ever before. Also, almost everybody who attempted a test, scored a pass.
The most welcomed news is the return of several old SAP members - [SAP]Adza, [SAP]Streedkid and [SAP]Sidhu joined the server this week. It should be noted that the reason of [SAP]Adza's inactivity was the fact that he was training as a stunt pilot in real life. We hope to see more old [SAP] members returning soon.
Also, this month we will have a record amount of promotions. Alex ( Hunter), Matty and Egert passed their last tests and interviews. Alex was promoted on 17th of March, with Matty's and Egert's ceremony being scheduled for the 24th March. We all hope this is good boost to help SAP become as strong as 2 or 3 years ago, when they usually had more than 30 people online during an event.

San Fierro City Airport is open!
by Torran, published: 20/03/2012
SAN FIERRO - a recent server update added a new airport named San Fierro City Airport (SFC).
The airport is located in Garcia, San Fierro, in the area known formerly for having two baseball fields. The airport is also known for being in the middle of an urbanized area. The airport's runway designation is 18/36. Also, similar to the airport in Gibraltar, a road intersects with the runway. The terminal is also one of the largest with the capacity to hold thousands of passengers.
The airport was mapped by [SAP]Gz0r and [SAP]Walther. It was first introduced for testing purposes, but after attracting a great deal of attention from players, the map was officially added. Initially, there were problems with airport objects having a short drawing distance, allowing only small parts of airport to be seen due to the object count being just shy of 1000. Some changes to streamer fixed the issue.

All islands vanish from SAP map!
by Nodroz, published: 21/3/2012
Today, around 19:15 GMT time the SAP server got a few technical problems. All custom mapped airfields and islands did not load. Luckily, this got noticed pretty fast and [SAP]Sgt fixed the problem by restarting the server. The reason why objects didn't load is unknown at the moment.
Luckily, our cameraman reporter [SAP]Nodroz was fast enough to take a few pictures of San Andreas Island (also known as SAPi). You can see the vehicles being spawned, but there is no ground beneath them. However, everything has been fixed already.

SARX - San Andreas RallyCross become official
by Walther, published: 27/3/2012
After two weeks of activity, SARX, the racing organisation led by [SAP]Gz0r and [SAP]Walther, have become official. Over the last 3 weekends, they have organised three stages of Red County Trophy, their first championship for novice racers. The organisation has already attracted a small but mature group of followers, who are now competing for the first-ever title of rally champion at SAP. SARX have received and already organised their forum branch; yet, they have not announced their plans regarding acquisition of vehicles or headquarters location.

Hacker causes major damage to San Andreas airports
by Migs, published: 29/3/2012
SAN FIERRO - A hacker left San Andreas in ruins yesterday after spawning aircraft and land vehicles onto the runways and taxiways of three major airports in the state. Witnesses also saw that the hacker apparently tried to gain high caliber weapons until the SAP Bot apprehended him.
The hacker left all the three major airports unusable and clean-up operations lasted several hours due to the scale of damage caused.
